Mama's Postpartum Must Haves

Postpartum, 4th trimester, the time least talked about and the time we were least prepared for. Here are some of our must haves!

💜Frida everything, but especially the Frida Mom Postpartum Recovery Essentials Kit. It’s so worth the price and better than the things you get in the hospital!

👙We both wear Kindred Bravely sport bras- nursing and pumping bras! They’re comfortable and have pads in them so you still have some support! After the initial first few days, I felt better in boxer briefs than the diapers. I wanted underwear that was cheap, but comfortable in case they got ruined (Mamas, you know what I’m talking about)! These have held up great for me and I still wear them all the time.

👖Comfy pants with pockets are a must! Sweatpants, pajama pants, joggers. You will want to have a way to easily carry your phone (and snacks if you’re like me!)

🧺Portable diaper caddy. You may not always want to go to the nursery or wherever your changing table is set up to change all the diapers! It’s nice to have a caddy stashed with diapers, diaper cream, and burp cloths that you can easily move with you!

🍪🍫A snack stash can be a life saver, especially if you’re breastfeeding! I know I know, healthy foods are better than candy, but sometimes you just gotta feed yourself. I stashed granola bars, protein bars, crackers and waters in my bedroom and her nursery so I could eat while she nursed or fell asleep with me holding her. I remember crying so often those first few months because I was so hungry.

👱‍♀️When the days seem to blur together but you want to feel somewhat normal, dry shampoo can help! We also scattered hair ties around our houses so that we could always easily and quickly put our hair up. Both of our babes had reflux, so we were often covered in spit up and needing our hair out of the way!
