Coloring! I know it's something all kids do and that it's a great activity, however, I still feel like Savvy is a newborn and that sounds like a big girl activity! I had no idea she was to the age that she should be scribbling on paper until I completed her 12 month check up questionnaire!

Needless to say, I ordered some crayons for her to get to scribbling!

I learned that babies usually have the fine motor skill to hold a crayon and scribble around 12-15 months. Once they're around 18 months, they begin attempting to color picture or imitate drawings. Things I definitely did NOT know!

I chose the Honey Sticks crayons because they're larger around so easier to grab, non-toxic and made with beeswax. Savvy still puts things in her mouth so non-toxic is important to me! I also grabbed bath time crayons just for more exposure to crayons and coloring as well as a new, fun bath time activity. I'm saving these for her Christmas stocking, though! The coloring book I chose is for ages 1-3 years and full of simple, common items so we can learn about them as we color!
