I (Kaley) wayyyy overpacked for the hospital and still had to have my mom bring things to me šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø Thanks Mom!!

šŸ¤°šŸ»I was in labor for 28 hours 😣 and wasn’t allowed to have anything to eat or drink. My mouth was so dry! I used chapstick and mints during those hours, but recommend hard candy over mints if you have some to pack (DM me if you want to know my reason for saying this 🤪) I also listened to a lot of music, so having a long phone cord (I had a 10 ft one) was super helpful!

šŸ’“The comfy items I was glad I had with me were DARK colored button up PJs, @kindredbravely nursing bras, house shoes, & my own blanket and pillow. Not an essential, but I also had my own hospital gownšŸ‘š, which I felt way more comfortable in!

Once Savvy made her arrival, we were transitioned to the PP floor, which was actually very loud, at least in our room. I brought our @hatchforsleep and used it as a sound machine and also a night light!

šŸ¤±šŸ»Of course when babies are brand new to this world, they seek comfort like they had in the womb. The nurse showed us one time how to swaddle her with a blanket, but let’s be honest, we didn’t catch on. The velcro swaddles make it so much easier! We also brought the @babyshusher that mimics the sound of the womb to play for her.

**some hospitals provide you with a Velcro swaddle, however they were out when Savvy was born, so I would recommend packing one just in case!

🧓Nipple cream is super helpful in the first couple of days as you figure out nursing! Definitely utilize the lactation consultants šŸ‘©ā€āš•ļøwhile in the hospital!!
